Long Island Woodturners

Fostering the Art of Woodturning on Long Island

Welcome

The next club meeting is Saturday May 11 – Pete Richichi will do a presentation on Segmented Turning.

Our annual dinner will be Friday, May 3rd at Bon Appetit on Terry Rd in Smithtown.  Cost is $42 per person, see Joe DeMaio at the April 20th meeting or mail him a check payable to LIWA by Apr. 26th.

I would like to welcome you to the website for the Long Island Woodturner’s Association.  We are a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) for more than 25 years!  We meet one Saturday morning each month at the cafeteria in the main building of Old Bethpage Restoration Village.

Meetings begin at 9 a.m.

Old Bethpage Restoration Village is part of Nassau County Parks and Recreation system and is located at:

1303 Round Swamp Road

Old Bethpage, NY 11804

Here is the link to their website:

Our meeting will be held in the cafeteria of the Main Building (NOT the big barn).

Our meetings usually consist of a woodturning demonstration by a club member or professional turner, followed by Show and Tell

If you are a woodturner, or would like to become one, I would like to invite you to our meetings.  Please check our meeting schedule page for dates and topic.

Thanks and I hope to see you at the club!
